Brilliant Publications is an independent UK-based educational publisher. We specialise in creating easy to use resources, featuring engaging approaches to learning which will inspire, motivate and challenge primary and secondary school students across a wide range of curriculum areas.

Our history

Brilliant Publications was established in 1993 as a partnership between Priscilla Hannaford and Irene Yates. Both Priscilla and Irene were teachers prior to setting up the company and have always been involved in the educational sector. They saw a need for flexible, photocopiable resources that teachers could use to supplement whatever schemes of work they were using. ‘That’s brilliant!’ seemed to be the most common feedback they got from the teachers to whom they shared their ideas – and that’s how Brilliant Publications got its name.

Since then we have expanded our list to include teacher resource books, e-books, songbooks and CDs, fiction and nonfiction readers, interactive PowerPoints, and much more.

We publish resources for most curriculum areas. Our strengths are English, maths, modern foreign languages, art, physical education and personal, social and health education (PSHE).

Our future

Brilliant Publications continues to focus on producing high quality, well-designed materials that make teaching and learning enjoyable and rewarding for both teachers and pupils. We are committed to producing materials that allow children to learn and develop skills.
